Obscured

An image series inspired by the work of Caleb Cole, representing different techniques of extracting people from my family archival photos, to change the narrative of the work. I use different techniques to create anonymous figures interacting with me in photographs. This is to re-contextualise the work to draw the attention to the chances of unknown biological family. Being born through IVF with donor sperm, I have a biological father I may never know, alongside possible half siblings. The work's new state uses negative space and silhouettes of people to represent the presence of family absent from my knowledge.
